Lumora ("the app", "we") is an AI photo enhancement and restoration app. This policy explains what data the app handles and how.
What data we collect: only the individual photo you select for a restoration or enhancement, together with a text prompt describing the edit you asked for (for example "repair damage" or "passport photo"). Nothing else about you is collected — no name, email address, contacts, location, or device identifiers.
How we collect it: exclusively through your own action inside the app. You pick or capture a photo, choose your options, and the photo is only transmitted after you tap Agree & Continue on the in-app AI processing disclosure. Until you give that permission, the photo never leaves your device. You can review that disclosure at any time via the "Learn more" link shown above the Generate button.
All uses of that data: the photo is used for one purpose only — generating the restored or enhanced image you requested. It is not used for advertising, profiling, resale, or model training, and we do not build a library of your images.
To create your result, the photo is sent over an encrypted (TLS) connection to OpenAI, L.L.C. (United States) via the OpenAI Images API. Lumora operates no server of its own: the image travels directly from your device to that API, and the finished image is returned to your device, where saving it to your photo library remains entirely under your control.
OpenAI processes the photo solely as our processor, on our behalf and on our instructions, under the OpenAI API terms and data-processing commitments. We have confirmed that this arrangement provides protection for your data equal to the protection described in this policy: content submitted through the OpenAI API is not used to train their models, is retained only transiently for abuse monitoring, and is not sold or shared for advertising. Lumora shares your photos with no other third party.
Lumora offers an auto-renewing subscription purchased through Apple's App Store. Payment is handled entirely by Apple; we never see your payment details. Subscription state is managed by RevenueCat using an anonymous identifier. You can cancel anytime in your App Store settings — Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
Camera and photo library access are requested only to let you pick or capture a photo to enhance, and to save results back to your library. These permissions are optional and can be managed in iOS Settings.
Images sent for processing are handled according to our provider's API data-usage policy (OpenAI API content is not used for training and is retained only transiently for abuse monitoring). Your originals and results live on your device.
Lumora is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected on this page with a new date.
